Preceding Will in death were his parents Dennis and Arlene Reis and an infant brother Gerald Reis. Julia Broecher, 101, of Murdo, passed away December 19, 2017, at Avera Maryhouse in Pierre.
A Celebration of Julia’s homegoing was held Wednesday, December 27 at Community Bible Church in Murdo. Julia Lillian Broecher was born February 16, 1916, in Kimball, SD, to Thomas and Sophia (Kroupa) Lebeda.
Julia enjoyed being a wife, mother, and homemaker, but also did babysitting and sewing for her friends and family. She enjoyed taking care of her numerous house plants and spending a lot of time at the Senior Citizen’s Center and her exercise group.
Julia lived independently until she was 100 before moving in with her daughter Jean.
6, 1934, in Dimock, SD, the son of Fernand and Elizabeth (Kummer) Schoenfelder. The couple lived most of their lives in the Sioux City area, where they owned and operated K-D Fir Farm, a mink ranch, for 25 years as well as Fashion Fur.
Following his discharge, Dennis was united in marriage with Mary Joan Sullivan on June 28, 1958, in Mitchell, SD.
Those left to mourn her passing include her children, Ruth (Carroll) Cash, Belle Fourche, Edith (Dale) Fischer, Hershey, NE, and Jean (Clifford) Kinsley, Murdo; siblings, Annabelle Mc Daniel, Rapid City, Fred Lebeda, Michigan, Betty (Russ) Beck, Pierre, and Leone Kreager, Valley, NE; 16 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
He took pride in his cattle herd, knowing each cow almost individually. As markets changed over time, he transitioned to raising more Angus, which he sure cussed a lot more on cattle working days.
On October 18, 1980, Will was united in marriage to Pamela Fisher at Winner, SD. To this union three children were born: Brian, Katie, and Andy.
